Ready, Set, GO!

You’ve been thinking about your family photos and how you will get them organized when you have the time, right? There are certain photos that bring a smile to your face just thinking about them, but you don’t have the time to look for them just now…maybe later. When you have time.

Starting is easier than you might think. Here are a few tips to get you started:

  1. Define your goal.
  2. Collect all your photos, memorabilia, videos, albums, devices and hard drives with photos on them, framed photos, etc., into one place.
  3. Sort them into categories that make sense to you, like: location, date range, events, people names…edit as you go, discarding duplicates and blurry or not-so-great images.
  4. Save printed photos and slide yourself or hire a professional to do it for you. Create a digital photo hub on your computer by combining all scanned and digital files into folders. Add Descriptive filenames or keyword the images. Make a backup copy and upload to a cloud service as a 2nd backup.
  5. Share your photos online, in photo books, websites shared albums…or with your family in a photo slideshow on your television!

Enjoy your memories!
